Cantells Boatyard offer a large concrete slipway for vessels up to 21m (70ft), with undercover facilities for vessels up to 18m (60ft).
We offer full fabrication facilities, for steel, aluminium and stainless, should this be required.
We have a 4.5 ton yard crane for launching smaller boats.
Our services include:

A boat collection service is available.
For other specialised work, such as electronics, sign writing and shot blasting, we use outside contractors who have worked with us for many years.

Refit of Harbour Master's Launch for the Port of London Authority. The refit comprised of mechanical and electrical repairs with some minor shipwright work and a two pack respray. This is one of many refits carried out for the PLA in the past 10 years.
No Job Too Small. This dingy came to us looking very tired and tatty. It should do, it is nearly twenty years old. After a two-pack respray, it now has a new look and will provide many more years of service.
This fishing boat was hauled up into our workshop for the owner to paint up himself. While here our staff carried out various repairs and servicing to both engine and hydraulics. It has since been fishing all season without any problems.
This is the pontoon that Newhaven Lifeboat berths to. Our job was to strip it, shotblast it, two-pack paint it, rebuild it and return it to station as soon as possible. All work was completed in four weeks.
This launch was built around 25 years ago and was more or less in original condition when it came to us. We carried out a two pack respray to the topside and superstructure, and a complete copper-coat system to the underwater area including slurryblasting. The decks were also painted. The end result was impressive and the owner very pleased.
